Rasa Priya has been a student of music for more than 25 years. His recent training with the late Ali Akbar Khan highlighted his education in North Indian classical music. Rasa Priya combines the edginess of grunge, the techniques of Indian classical, and the creative approach of Jivatma. "I really try to focus on the overall mood, including the subtle nuances of the song. Sarod is such a powerful instrument and must be carefully inserted in order to enhance a particular mood".
